Episode 25 – Clay Scroggins (Lead Pastor at North Point Community Church) “How to Lead When You’re Not in Charge”

Episode 25 was an extremely fun conversation for me!  I Love Leadership and I’m a huge Clay Scroggins fan!  Clay is the lead pastor at North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia.  He serves under the leadership of Andy Stanley.  The North Point Campus runs over 12,000 people on the weekends.

Clay is also the author of the book “How to Lead When You’re Not in Charge: Leveraging Influence When You Lack Authority”. His book (which is awesome) just came out this week!

Leadership is a huge part of Worship Leadership!  Clay is one of the best leadership authorities out there!  So we talk about leading from a position of influence.  You can lead!  Even if you aren’t “The Boss”.

Episode 18 – Josh Scott (Founder/CEO of JHS Pedals)

This was an interview that I had been looking for a long time!  Josh is a guy that I respect on so many different levels.  He is in a different league when it comes to business and leadership!  We talk about his time in the church as a worship leader, his story of how he started JHS Pedals, and he gives some great insight into worship/music culture!

Episode 14 – Joe Morgan (Founder/CEO of Morgan Amps)

Eight years ago, an amp company called Morgan Amps was started.  Joe Morgan was building amps with his own two hands and had an incredibly long waiting list of people wanting one.  Fast forward to today, and Morgan amps is one one the leading amp companies in Country music.  Guitarist for Eric Church, Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley, Hunter Hayes, The Police, and More!  Joe, not only makes KILLER amps, but he is a Christ Follower!

On episode 14, Joe talks about how he came to know Jesus, how he started an amp company, his views on church, and how being an authentic person can go a long way!  Give it a listen!  If you are a “Gear Head”, you’ll especially love it!

Episode 10 – Aaron Ivey (Austin Stone Worship)

I love the relationships that God has allowed me to have over the years.  Some people are just acquaintances, but others actually influenced my life.  Aaron Ivey is the Pastor of Worship at the Austin Stone Community Church. If you aren’t familiar with Austin Stone Worship, you need to start following what they do!  The creativity that flows out of that place is rooted in the Word of God and is rich in doctrine and theology. I have known Aaron for right at 15 years now.  As a “young buck”, my time spent working with Aaron helped shape me as a follower of Christ and as a musician.  Aaron has always been a developer of others and every time I talk to him I am challenged in that area.  I hope episode 10 pushes you first to the Word of God, then challenges you to start developing the next generation.
